Expertise John Savageau has 30+ years of experience in national and regional networks, data centers, internet exchange points in the U.S. and worldwide. He designed cloud computing and data centers for Indonesia, Vietnam, Moldova, Brazil and other countries as a World Bank consultant. He founded Pacific Tier Communications in 2000, creating a new market-leading business and sales strategy while maintaining a highly profitable and sustainable business model. Mr. Savageau is a leading expert on the cloud computing and virtualization.
Work with T/TI His T/TI assignments include Benin e-Government where he designed the data center and Enterprise Architecture, the Iraq fixed asset inventory and strategy for national operator and ISP for the Ministry of Communication, and the Caribbean academic networks. He designed the Internet data center for T/TIs client, Safad Group, which will serve Palestinian enterprises and academic institutions in the West Bank.
Other Professional Experience He managed data centers for Carlyle Group CRG as CTO, Level 3 International as VP International Operations, and Pihana Pacific as CTO.  At CRG West/CoreSite managed the physical interconnections and Internet Exchange Point services for the California Education and Research Network, USC, National Transit Rail, and NASA Ames.  While at Sprint, the Sprintlink Internet team was responsible for the International Connections Manager for NSFNet.  Savageau consulted for Georgia Tech University on a data center design, and was a senior advisor to the World Bank on Vietnams government ICT development project in 2010.
Education, Languages Mr. Savageau holds an MS in Operations Management form University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a BA in Asian Studies and Information Systems from the University of Maryland. He is certified in Enterprise Architecture and ITIL.
